"The Journey is Half the Fun" - Walkthrough /

The Journey is Half the Fun – Exploit Quest Strat: Cru Naseto, right outside the North Qeynos One of the earliest heritage quest you are able to do is called the “Journey is Half the Fun”. I believe you can initiate it at level 15, but it’s not until you have access to the Feerrott that you are able to complete it. Anyway, there are several difficult parts to this quest so here is a small list of tricks to help you through. Antonica – Part I The one in Antonica is very easy; however it is much easier if you use this trick. Your second stop after the Tower of Vhalen is the Keep of The Gnoll Slayers. To save at least a minute or two, head south to the Steppes Griffin Station. Take the Griffin to the Oracle Tower Station. Then head north to the Ruins of Caltorsis and backtrack to the other stops. It should be no problem finishing this one. Common Lands – Part II The Common Lands one is easy, and does not require any sort of Strat besides common sense. Head straight for each of you’re objectives. Thundering Steppes – Part III Now it gets more difficult. For the third part, which begins at the docks, you’re going to need some help. You need 2, possibly 3 things. If you are at a lower lever the first thing you should seek is a higher Lvl character to group with. They don’t need to come with you, but by being in your group, you will avoid potential aggros in the more difficult areas. Second, if you aren’t one yourself, you are going to need a scout class who has escape. I believe all scouts receive the spell at Lvl 25. In addition you may want to find another player to come along with you and the scout that can cast Sow. Finally it would be a good idea to know exactly where all the places are that you need to visit… especially the Shrine of the Sirens. This shrine is located on the western beach side in TS, and it is submerged. The beach is not to be confused with the one in the south/southwest. Now for the run guide! From the Docks run straight into the Dead River until you reach the entrance for Thundermist Village, your first stop. Go only as far in as you need to for your journal to be updated. Continue moving south/southwest in the river bed, and at the next available right turn (West) take it. It will lead you past the Centaur area… whatever it’s called, and take it to the main open area. Hug the wall and travel south down to your second stop: Deadview Pass. Like Thundermist Village, only go in as far as you need for the update. Now you’re headed for the Siren Shrine, which is roughly northwest of your current location at Deadview. After hitting that, go back down through, Deadview and hit the remaining three. Once you reach the 6th spot, have your scout Evac and promptly talk to the lady who issued the quest. Gratz…you just completed the second hardest run in the series. Nektulous Forest - Part IV Okay, now for the really hard part. This run is by far one of the biggest challenges you will face in any quest in the game. Well it would be, if you didn’t know the exploit that is. Even with the cheat, you’re still going to need a scout, a high Lvl character, and some speed buffs. Also make sure that you cut every single corner. Good luck! The first hint is the moment you reach your first waypoint, Behemoth Pond, head straight for N’Marr. Go to the top and go right as opposed to taking the path leading north. This way will lead you behind a hill and is a crucial shortcut. Once getting around the hill head Northeast, directly towards Gargoyle Gorge. Then continue northeast to Nektropos Castle. This is the part where the exploit comes in. After you leave Nektropos Castle head back to N’Marr, the same route you took before. After the second turn, as you’re descending, jump of either to the right or facing south. If you mess this part up it will respawn you back at Bone Lake and you will fail. If done correctly you will find yourself at right to the west of the D’abth Bridge. From the Bridge head down to Port Naythex, right when your journal updated have the scout Evac. Make sure you run to the other side of the bridge to complete the quest. Woot! Good work! Zek, the Orcish Wastes – Part V This run is very easy. There are no real tips needed other then the scout, higher Lvl character, and SOW. The Enchanted Lands – Part VI This is another fairly easy run. The only good tip other then the usual is that at Camp Ghobber (Nightblood Tower) use Evac. The Feerrott – Part VII Other than the potential problem with Aggros, this is the easiest run to complete. Just make sure you don’t stop anywhere and avoid aggros at all costs. Evac is a good thing to have but not completely necessary. If you really want to get a ridiculous time though, hit Evac at Murdunk’s Falls and then run to the completion guy. Give yourself a big pat on the back because you not only just won “Legendary Journeyman’s Boots”, which are ridiculous, but you just made mad status too.
